DT Inspiration IQCG #28 Stencil it

hey everyone!!!
Shivani here, Today its my turn for the inspirational post for this month's challenge "stencil it". I hope you guys are having fun and inspired enough with the inspirational posts by my fellow talented DT members. I really had fun with this month's theme. For this month's theme I have made a mix media monogram. For a long time I wanted to try this and when I got to know this month's theme I knew I was going to make this. For the monogram I got a MDF base letter "A". I have given various textures using different stencils. Embellished the base with a few quilled flowers. I hope you guys will love my take on this month's theme as much as I loved making it.
So guys, Do participate in our ongoing challenge "stencil it"

Thanks for stopping by:

DT Inspiration IQCG #28 Stencil it

Hello Crafters,

Priyanka Srivastava here from Priyaz Creations. I am here with my take on the challenge #28 - Stencil It. I thought why not take the challenge in it's literal sense?

I made a simple birthday card with inked stencil design and one stencil design which I quilled. I used stencil from Hobby Ideas for the quilling and another stencil from Itsy Bitsy to ink.

Here it is what it finally looks like. Hope the recipient likes it. :-)

You have already seen beautiful creations by my fellow team members and must have taken inspiration from them. The challenge for you this month is to create a quilling project having something or the other with a stencil. You can create anything and everything but it should have the element of stencil in it. Just make sure quilling is mandatory for your entry to be valid.

Click HERE to enter your creation in the challenge. Please make sure you follow the IQCG rules and individual challenge rules to make your entry valid. Looking forward for your participation.

Happy crafting!!

Cheers!

DT Inspiration IQCG #28 Stencil it

Hello Friends!
I'm Priya Mishra from Quilling By Priya. Today I'm here to share my DT post for Challenge #28 " Stencil It". I'm sure you ppl have checked the beautiful inspiration by my DT friends here.
Here's my take on the theme
A Card

This is a simple card. I used Timholtz Flourish Stencil and Distress Ink to get this background. A Doily and a quilling flower to give a contrast look and a 3d tag, some laces n pearls to complete the look.

A Layout
This is a loyout here.I have used Papers from Papericious for the background and Tim holtz Flourish stencil and home made texture paste to get the stencil effect. Used two different inks to color the doily and the edges of the tag and background pages. Finally added some quilling Butterflies and flowers along with mdf cutouts to match the tag. The picture is also given some height by using a chipboard and layers of papers from Enogreetings.

Hope you like my creations. Looking forward to see ur beautiful entries. Have fun and Happy Crafting.

Priya

DT Inspiration IQCG# 28 - Stencil it

Good day mates'.
This is DT Gouri from EMOTIVE PATTERNS presenting my creation for this month's "STENCIL IT" challenge.

"TIME FLIES WHEN YOU ARE WITH FRIENDS"

How true are these words. This is indeed what I felt when I was working on this canvas with my friends viz: Brick Stencil, Quilled elements, Punched paper and a lot of colours.

Brick wall created with texture paste and a stencil and painted in vintage photo distress ink. A nice earthy shade.

What could be better friends to a quilled butterfly than some beautiful colourful quilled blossoms.

This canvas is a heartfelt representation of how I feel when I am with friends. Happy and Content.

Hope you enjoy this and please feel free to leave a comment or a constructive criticism...

waiting your wonderful entries for the STENCIL-IT Challenge

Thanks

DT Inspiration IQCG# 28 - Stencil it

Dear Quillers ,
A warm welcome to fans of  IQCG. This is your DT Aparna Balakrishnan of "shequills" blog and I am here today to present my DT work on Challenge no 28 (Stencil it)...

Before getting into my work, let me tell everyone that I am completely new to stencil work and this is my very first stencil piece I have done. So I chose a very basic stencil design that I found in the net and drew it in a paper to start working on it.

Here is my work

and the stencil design I used

Find the challenge image below and the link of the challenge blog post in this group.

http://indianquillingchallenge.blogspot.in/2016/07/iqcg28-anything-goes-with-stencil.html

I started drawing the stencil design in a piece of paper measuring 15cm x 12cm and using a basic paper cutter tool, I started cutting along the stencil design and kept aside. Taking another paper of the same measurement , I coloured it using a light orange and dark orange acrylic colours using a sponge to give a monochromatic effect for background. You can observe that in my work. Once the paper is coloured and background is created , I chose magenta pink and brought the stencil design on the orange background paper. Once it was stenciled , I bordered the corners using crimped green strips and placed a quilled flower made using light yellow and light green quilling strips, with triangular petals over the stencil design, with leaves and branches surrounding it. I this pasted the completed piece on a magenta handmade paper, and stuck green and silver rhinestones on the corners. Finally added some stones here and there around the flowers too.

The piece has been hanged on the wall by inserting a golden lace in the holes punched.

Hope everyone liked this small start for stencils from me and wishing everyone all the very best and eagerly waiting to see your work. I am sure we are going to receive fabulous stencils craft works for many of you all. Please link your project here in the IQCG blog abiding the rules properly ,to avoid disqualification.

Cheers,
Aparna Balakrishnan
